Rooted in ancient Finnish tradition, Lovi refers to an otherworldly state or space, a rift between worlds. It is a place of crossing where the veil between the living and the dead thins. 

The music of Lovi carries you through the journey of life and death, the unknown and self-discovery. It guides you through the mystical forests of Finland, bringing to life the mythological figures of the bear, the serpent and the iron. This is an album of contrasts - also giving, for the first time, a prominent voice to our national instrument, the Kantele.

The album includes new versions of previously released tracks from our earlier EPs: Käärmeen synty, Karhun synty, and Nostatus. As the band's sound has evolved, these songs have been reimagined, remastered and brought to life again in a physical album that reflects where we are now.

Lovi is not just a collection of songs - it is a journey.
